Welcome to the online face of Martin Roberts - Freelance Graphic Designer.

As a graphic designer, I specialise in print, web and illustration. Having worked in various design studios and a multimedia agency, and also as an independant freelancer for the past (almost) four years, I have the background and experience... Old enough in competency and young enough to have bags of energy - to partner with your brand or business at this current competitive time. Having moved over to Glasgow, Scotland in February 2010 from South Africa, it is great to be the new "designer on the block".

Why hire me? As a freelancer, my rates are competitive, I am flexible with my time, and along with the personal face-to-face business offering, I have a lot to offer in terms of skillset across the design spectrum. (See About Studio page.)

Due to the nature of my business, I am able to work "long distance". So whether you're in South Africa, the UK, or further afield, let that not be an issue. The wonders of skype, mobile phones and e-mails sorts that out!

Future Goals: Continue to love what I do; and grow in competency.

My name is Martin Roberts, and I'm a 28 year old graphic designer who loves Calvin & Hobbes, football, Muay Thai, coffee and long walks with my beautiful wife.

I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and although I spent most of my life there, I'm also a proud UK citizen. Seeking new adventures, my wife and I have just recently moved to Scotland.





Why exactly "I like toes"? T.O.E.S - An acronym for - Truth On Every Spread. Designing is far more than simply applying textures and throwing around a few font options. There is much that goes into each and every "spread" a designer creates. I intend to do each piece of artwork I work on justice, by being true to myself and to the client.

The url is also intended to be shockingly silly and therefore stick once you've heard it.
